Privacy Policy
Protecting your personal data matters to us. Below we explain which data we process, for what purpose, and what rights you have. The legally binding version of this document is the German original.
1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website is Demonte Caravan GmbH, Im Spagen 5 · 73527 Schwäbisch Gmünd · Deutschland.
Phone: +49 7171 1866372 · E-mail: info@demontecaravan.de
2. Your Rights
You may exercise the following rights at any time:
- Access to the data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
An informal message to info@demontecaravan.de is enough to exercise these rights.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
3. Visiting Our Website (Server Log Files)
Each time a page is called up, your browser transmits technically necessary data which our hosting provider stores in server log files: the address requested, date and time, volume of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and IP address.
This processing serves to deliver the website, ensure system security and analyse faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure and trouble-free operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Log files are deleted after a short period and are not merged with other data.
4. Cookies and Consent
Strictly necessary cookies are used without consent on the basis of § 25 (2) TDDDG; the website does not work without them.
All other cookies and comparable technologies — in particular for statistics and marketing — are only set after your explicit consent in the cookie banner (§ 25 (1) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Until then no analytics or advertising cookies are written; only cookieless signals are transmitted via Google Consent Mode v2.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the link in the cookie banner. The lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal remains unaffected.
5. Contact, Quotation and Job Application Forms
If you contact us through a form on this website, we process the details you provide — usually name, e-mail address, telephone number, subject and message — solely in order to handle your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). For job applications the legal basis is § 26 BDSG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR.
Your enquiry is stored in our content management system, forwarded by e-mail and messenger notification to the responsible staff, and — for quotation requests — transferred into our own CRM system so that we can follow the case from enquiry through to delivery. No transfer to any other third party takes place.
We delete the data as soon as it is no longer required for the respective purpose and no statutory retention periods apply. Application documents are deleted no later than six months after the procedure ends, unless you have agreed to longer storage.
6. Service Appointment Booking
To book a service appointment we process your contact details, vehicle information and the chosen location and time slot. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures and performance of the service contract).
The data is used for scheduling, performing the service and the subsequent documentation, and is deleted once the commercial and tax retention periods have expired.
7. Google Analytics and Google Ads
Subject to your consent, we use services of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, for audience measurement (Google Analytics 4) and advertising performance measurement (Google Ads), integrated via Google Tag Manager.
Pseudonymous usage profiles are created and cookies are used. The data collected includes a truncated IP address, pages visited, time spent, device type and the origin of the visit. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG).
A transfer to the USA cannot be excluded. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, standard contractual clauses pursuant to Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR are in place. None of this processing takes place without your consent.
8. Maps and Videos
On the "Dealers & Service Partners" page we show our locations on a map. The map is rendered with the open-source library MapLibre GL; the map tiles are provided by OpenFreeMap (OpenStreetMap data) and delivered from servers within the European Union. Your IP address is technically transmitted to the map service in the process. No cookies are set and no usage profiles are created. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our locations (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The "Directions" button opens an external map service only after you click it.
Google Maps and YouTube are embedded separately. No connection to Google or YouTube is established when a page loads; you initially see only a preview with a notice.
Only when you actively start a map or a video is the content loaded and your IP address and further connection data transmitted to Google Ireland Limited. The legal basis is your consent given by starting the content (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). For details see Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
9. Hosting and Processors
Our website and the associated content management and CRM systems are operated by a service provider within the European Union. We have concluded data processing agreements pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR with every provider that processes personal data on our behalf.
10. Data Security
This website uses TLS encryption, which you can recognise by the address bar of your browser beginning with https://. While encryption is active, the data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.
We also apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access, and we adapt these measures in line with technological developments.
11. No Obligation to Provide Data, No Automated Decision-Making
Providing your data is neither legally nor contractually required. However, without the details marked as mandatory in the forms we cannot process your enquiry.
Automated decision-making including profiling pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR does not take place.
12. Changes to This Policy
We update this privacy policy whenever the legal situation or the services used on this website change. The version published here at the time applies.
